Important Update: New HOTMA Section 102 and 104 Implementation Guidance Now Available
On February 5, 2024, HUD published a revised version of the HOTMA Implementation Notice (Notice H 2023–10/PIH 2023–27). Changes from the previous version are described in Section 2.1 of the revised Notice, which provides updates, clarifications, and corrections based on industry feedback.

Annual TRAC Access/Recertification/Information Security Training
The guide contains instructions on how to register new TRACS users, how existing users can recertify and instructions to complete annual security training.
Please note, recertification for current users must be completed by March 14, 2024.
Upcoming MORs: Updated TSP and EIV Policies and Procedures
For PBCA management and occupancy reviews (MORs), RIHousing will be looking for and reviewing updated tenant selection plans (TSP) and enterprise income verification (EIV) policies and procedures effective April 1, 2024 that include the HOTMA updates.
These policies must be written even if not implemented yet.
NHLA Education Fund - Now Accepting Applications
The National Leased Housing Association (NLHA) is accepting applications for the NLHA Education Fund scholarships program.
Scholarships are awarded to low-income individuals residing in federally assisted rental housing owned, managed, or administered by members of the National Leased Housing Association. Applications are due on April 12, 2024.
Effective January 1, 2024, all physical inspections conducted at Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) projects will be conducted in accordance with the new NSPIRE protocol.
